Treasures of the Heart
Vocalist/composer Jacqui Naylor returns with her celebrated 12th album, Treasures of the Heart, featuring a mix of standards, covers, & original music. Naylors albums have made the top-ten lists in USA Today, Jazziz, The Washington Post and more, and her unique sound is attributed to her interplay with long-time bandmates, Art Khu (piano), Richie Goods (bass), and Ele Howell (drums).
Treasures of the Heart includes an Afro-Cuban inspired take on the Rodgers and Hart classic “I Didnt Know What Time It Was,” a sensitive interpretation of Burt Bacharach and Hal Davids iconic “This Guy’s in Love with You,” and encouraging, groovy Naylor and Khu originals “Love’s Around” and “Treasures of the Heart.”
Naylor tours regularly and has headlined at some of the world’s finest jazz venues and festivals, including Ronnie Scott’s London, Sunset-Sunside Paris, Birdland New York, Quasimodo Berlin, Jazz Alley Seattle, SFJAZZ Center, and Blue Note Clubs Worldwide (New York, Milan, and Tokyo).
