The Freedom Movement

The Peekskill Business Improvement District, in partnership with the City of Peekskill and Sisters in Support, are hosting The Freedom Movement: Preserving and Celebrating African American History on Saturday, May 11th from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm at the Peekskill Central Firehouse located at 1141 Main Street. All are welcome to attend and hear from descendants of Harriet Tubman, Frederick Douglass, Hawley & Harriet Green, and John Jacob “Rifle Jack” Peterson. To RSVP, please email [email protected].
